Accountancy Students’ Association (ASAK)

ASAK is the pioneer students’ movement in the Commerce and Management Faculty to register as an educational association, specializing in Accountancy, which addressed a long awaited need. Our underlying philosophy is to provide academic services with a professional orientation through the interaction with public and corporate sector organizations, and wider society.

Message of the President

I in the capacity of president becomes permeated with great pleasure and a sense of dignity to imprint this message on this great occasion of publication of “Achiever Accountant” an exploration of professional excellence. I wish to place my gratitude and appreciation in record for the ardent contribution of all the stake holders for the successful completion of this master piece which I proudly term. Let me avail this opportunity to enlighten all concerned and others, that the Department of Accountancy university of Kelaniya stands tall as for the fact that it deals with finance and economy which the nerve centre of a nation and world at large. “Rome was not built in a day” in recognition of dedication and enthusiasm of editorial staff who demonstrated their team spirit by making this journal ASAK informative and well finished. I tender those showers of congratulation. In conclusion in particular let me sincerely thank the head of Department Mrs. U.L.T.P. Gunasekara , all the academic staff for their contribution and co-operation which they rendered whole heartedly

Message of the Secretary

I would like to congratulate all the members of ASAK for their dedication, creativity, group cohesiveness & compatibility of conducting different kind of activities throughout the year. And I hope the experience gained through organizing these activities will help all of them to develop their interpersonal,organizing & communication skills. The contribution of ASAK adds more values to Department of Accountancy to produce a quality graduate. Finally I would like to give my heart full gratitude to all the members of ASAK & all who behind our success.
